The Columbus Zoo, Camp Bountiful, Fourth of July and Early Birthday celebrations

Megan and I had a wonderful visit to Ohio recently. We took advantage of my having some time before starting my new job and spent 2 weeks.
Uncle Eric took some time off after we first arrived and we took Megan to the Columbus Zoo. I think we all had a really good time.
At the zoo Megan loved watching the otters. When we went through the gift shop Megan picked out a present from her uncle. Otter went everywhere with her for the next 2 weeks.
Back at Grandmas house one of Megans favorite activities was going out to grandma's garden to pick peas.
Grandpa filled up their little pool and played with Megan.
Great Aunt Ruth heled us dry off after spashing around.

On our second day Eric and Grandma and I went to COSI with Megan. It will be better for her when she's a little older. A few days after we arrived in Ohio, we headed for Camp Bountiful. We both had a great time. Megan stayed there with the family while I went back to Houston to work for my last 2 days. We definately missed having extra hands around to chase toddlers when Barbie, Ruth, Eric, and Tommy left after the weekend.

We really wore Megan out every day running and playing. She pretty much passed out for her nap at lunchtime, most days before we could get her back to the cabin.
Getting to sleep next to Mommy was big fun for Megan.

AJ really doesn't sit down all day long. He's always on the move. Here he is in front of our Cabin.

New Skill for the week- drinking from water fountain.
AJ and Megan playing on the peace patio. Grandpa spent alot of time at the playground with AJ and Megan.
Playdough time in the cabin.
Breakfast.
Lisa and AJ.
Thank goodness for the strollers. This was a common sight all week at camp.
Singing and dancing with the other kids.
She enjoyed craft time so much that now we have to paint and "do beads" at home everyday.
Megan enjoyed playing outside in the rain with grandpa one afternoon.
Megan and grandma at the shelter house. After coming home from camp we had a quiet fourth of July. Megan and AJ both loved watching all the tractors and firetrucks in the parade. Megan didn't make it to the fireworks this year, she was too worn out.

"Higher great aunt Beth higher." Megan very much enjoyed having a swing in grandma's backyard.
"Ahhh I can't see."
Megan loves to feed the birds with grandpa. She asked t do it almost every day.
We had a lovely joint Birthday party with Uncle Eric. We especially loved getting to see so many family members. We wish we could see you more often. I think Megan and Emma look quite a bit alike, maybe its just their coloring.

Uncle Eric helped Megan blow out her birthday candle.
Megan helped Uncle Eric open his presents.
Thank you to everyone for the lovely gifts and cards.

Faster uncle Eric, I want to play with Rocket NOW!!!
Megan played with rocket on the deck while everyone else participated in a corn hole tournement.
Aunt Lisa and Megan chillen on the deck stairs.
AJ filled Megan's cup and she dumped the water into the pool.
Thanks Aunt Barbie, Uncle Larry and Christine for letting us play on your cool rocking horse.
One of our last treats before heading off to Virginia. Grater's icecream. "YUM!" Megan shared with grandpa and mommy.

AJ enjoyed some too. After ice cream the children needed a bath.Cuddle time with grandma after her bath. We miss you.
