4th of July

Our Little family had a very nice fourth of July. We grilled brauts and ate potato salad, fruit salad, and beans for Lunch. In the evening we went to the local 4th of July festival. There were a few carnival rides, face painting, live music, and fireworks. Its been raining all week, but we managed to stay dry long enough to enjoy all the fun. Megan had a great time- well except for the part where we had to wait 30 minutes to get out of the parking lot when it was already way past her bedtime. Here are some of the highlights from the day.
Megan helped herself to a box of Cheerios while David and I were getting lunch ready. David and I wondered why she was sitting and playing in the same spot for so long. Guess she was hungry.

This was Megan's first Carousel ride. She likes the elephants at the zoo so we chose the elephant.

On her second ride she was quite the little princess waving to the crowd as we went round and round.

Megan loves fish- so we had Nemo put on her arm (where she could see it). She wasn't too sure about what was going on at first, but she sat still.

After we got tired of the Carnival, we found a nice place on the field to spread out our blanket, eat goldfish, drink milk, and listen to music.

Megan still loves to dance. She boogied to the music with daddy for a long time.

Megan wasn't afraid of the fireworks at all. She really watched most of the show. Here we are lit up by the fireworks.
